Hi Amanda! Happy 2018 Thanksgiving! I don’t know you but I am enjoying reading about your adventures in Lone Pine California. The pics are amazing. I fell in love with area (Bishop North Lake) as a youngster. My father, a self taught camping and fishing enthusiast from New Jersey and born of Polish immigrants, took all seven of us there almost every year. I have never again found that kind of peace and serenity. I do believe that as a 13 year old I gave my promise of forever love and soon return to live there. Well I’m 58 and getting closer to that dream. But what has really tickled my fancy is reading that you and your husband do this type of adventuring as a lifestyle. Hummm….would I like that better? So many places to see. Perhaps one day real soon.
It is Thanksgiving Day early in the morning. I just put the turkey in the oven. Going to my daughter’s home in Twin Peaks. Just about 40 minutes away. I loved camping so much growing up that I raised my family in the San Bernardino Mountains for close to 20 years.
Thank you for your story, photos and giving this ol’ gal some wide awake dream time.
May you both be blessed with healthy, wealth and happiness.
Stephanie R.
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We love, love, love the Eastern Sierras and look forward to spending a few months exploring the area next summer. Thanks for the sweet comment :)
