This was our second year spending the Christmas holidays in San Diego. Last year we had no idea that we would end up back here, at the very same RV park, for Christmas once again. I guess it didn’t take us long to adjust from a white Christmas to a beach Christmas. Last year I remember feeling kind of sad about missing out on a traditional New England Christmas with snow and a Christmas tree and all that. This year- not so much. Maybe it’s because we had family here with us, or maybe it’s because of the huge ice storm that just hit our home town a few days ago (yuck!), or maybe it’s because the weather has been about ten degrees above normal here this week making it the perfect weather to enjoy the beach. Whatever the reason, I found myself not feeling at all nostalgic about Christmas past, and instead immensely happy to be right where we are. And that is probably the best Christmas present I could have asked for. Merry Christmas everyone!
